This course explains how petroleum geoscientists use topography and geology to help locate hydrocarbon reservoirs. It explains that, as a result of their topographic and geologic features, certain locations are more likely than others to have reservoirs. It also describes how geoscientists use imaging techniques to search for these areas.

Objective

After taking this course, you will be able to identify likely locations for oil and natural gas deposits and describe imaging techniques used to search for those locations.
